Highlights:

The Boschmolenplas located west of the village of Heel (Maasgouw) and, like the other Maasplassen a former Grindgat.

The puddle, having a diameter of more than 1 km, is fed with ground water, which is filtered in a natural way. Because of the particular clear water is a plan view of 12 m is not unusual.Due to the excellent water quality, the Boschmolenplas is the scene of a very rich onderwaterflora- and fauna, which combines with the existing artificial objects for a unique and unforgettable diving experience.

Try to find the helicopter or the pirate ship! Some says there are also christmas trees hidden down here somwhere!?

The lake has become a household in scuba-loving Netherlands and is known even far beyond the Belgian and German borders.

Throughout the year, people come from far and wide to take a dip in the Boschmolenplas.

OBS – Diving Rights:

The rights to dive throughout Boschmolenplas been assigned specifically to dive Stingray.Access to the water is only allowed during opening hours, and through the entrance of diving center Stingray.Going to water in the Boschmolenplas in a different location than that of the dive is not permitted * !.

  • Jelly Ball
  • Fresh water jellyfish
  • Carps
  • Snails
  • Pumpkinseed
  • Tobernose Goby
  • Stickleback
  • Pond snails

 

Visibility:

Varies from bad to good but typically, visibility is Medium ( 5 – 10 m).

Depth:

The average depth is around 10-12m max depth is 33 m.
